Michael Dowling: "We're Fully Prepared"
North Shore-LIJ's President & CEO Michael Dowling says the health system is extremely prepared for whatever Hurricane Sandy may bring. He is visiting as many facilities as possible today to ensure that everything is running smoothly both for our patients, and our employees.

Increasing winds brought increased levels of anxiety and distress among our patients,the family members that chose to stay at bedside, and employees. The chaplaincy team at NSUH continued rounding on the floors until after 10pm on Monday. I'm personally grateful to Father Anthony for welcoming me to sleep in his apartment on campus last night. Our team is back out on the floors today (Tuesday).
